Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s mission is simple
Keeping agriculture strong and growing for future generations
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is the state’s largest farm organization, representing farms of every size and commodity across Pennsylvania. Farm Bureau is based on a grassroots structure whereby county Farm Bureaus develop and implement policy positions. PFB’s programs and services are aimed at solving farm-related problems, tackling issues which threaten agriculture’s future, increasing net farm income, enlightening the non-farm public about modern-day agriculture and advancing rural life in the Keystone State. Members have the opportunity to participate in the development of Farm Bureau’s policies on a broad range of issues.

Consumers
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau membership allows consumers to support local agriculture.
By joining Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, consumers are supporting Pennsylvania farmers and rural communities. Membership helps strengthen the local food system and ensures that family farms can continue to thrive.
Consumers also gain access to trustworthy information by understanding where their food comes from, how it’s produced, and the challenges facing agriculture today, which builds informed and empowered consumers.
Consumers can also participate in events like farm tours, where members can meet with farmers, ask questions and get hands-on experiences connecting them to Pennsylvania’s number one industry and agricultural future.

The Committee is a resource to assist county Farm Bureaus in the development of promotional programs & activities aimed at educating others about agriculture.

Young Ag Professionals
Committee
The Young Ag Professionals (YAP) program is a Pennsylvania Farm Bureau program for individuals or couples between the ages of 18 and 35.
