State Board Director Kevin Mountz owns and operates a greenhouse complex and plant nursery, hauls stone, mulch, coal, lime and grain and is an approved LIHEAP vendor of coal, wood pellets, firewood and propane.

Mountz and his wife Chanin, grows their own vegetable plants, annuals, and perennials. Mountz maintains commercial and native trees and shrubs. From June through November, they also operate a farmer’s market featuring fresh fruits and vegetables.

Mountz is a retired State Game Warden with 25 years of service to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, having served in Greene, Franklin, Fulton and Huntingdon counties. Mountz has won multiple awards, including the 2009 Officer of the Year for the Commonwealth, the 2000 Torch Award, which is an award given annually by the North American Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association to a person of high character with strong leadership skills who has not worked for more than five years within the profession, and the 2020 Fulton County Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Small Business Award.

Mountz has been a Farm Bureau member since 2016 and has served on the Fulton County Board of Directors since 2017. Mountz became the Fulton County Farm Bureau President in 2021 and current serves in that role.

Mountz is a 1996 graduate of Ross Leffler School of Conservation and a 1973 graduate of Carlisle High School.

Kevin and Chanin have four children, including daughters Erin, Kristen and Lauren, and Kevin’s stepson Logan. They have five grandchildren, including Autumn, Sawyer, Isaiah, Emelia and Callum.
