The Young Ag Professionals (YAP) program is a Pennsylvania Farm Bureau program for individuals or couples between the ages of 18 and 35.

The objective of the Young Ag Professionals program is to provide leadership in building a more effective Farm Bureau to preserve our individual freedoms and expand our opportunities in agriculture.

Young Ag Professionals Grant

This grant was created to assist County Farm Bureaus in growing their county Young Ag Professionals (YAP) program involvement by helping to develop activities, promotional events, fundraisers, and etc. in their counties. The goal of these activities and programs is to bring awareness of agriculture, and the County Farm Bureau, in your communities. The events are developed to promote an ag awareness/experience in the local communities.

The applications will be reviewed and approved by the PFB YAP State Committee. The application process will be ongoing until the budgeted grant monies have been exhausted.

The grant amount is for up to $750.00 per county, per year. The grant’s will be considered on a first come, first served basis with applications being accepted between October 1 and September 30 of each year. Grants will be awarded for new community events only. They will not be awarded for existing events.

Priority will be given to counties that are partnering with other organizations/companies for given grant submitted event.

A mandatory 30-day follow-up must be submitted by grant awardees. This will be an account of the event and a “Report Card” as to the success of the event.
